What a great day to curl up with a good book…

book chats 2As writers we love to read.

We think any day is a good day to curl up with our favourite piece of writing and today is particularly perfect as in Echuca Moama the heavens have opened and we’re celebrating the long-forgotten sound of rain on our roof.

We’ve loved #spreadingthegoodstuff on reading many times in the past and recently promised we’d share our favourite books. This has been tougher than expected and even now we could add a few more in an instant.

So here they are:

Leonie:

The Alchemist – Paul Coelho

The Saint, the Surfer and the CEO – Robin Sharma

I know why the caged bird sings – Maya Angelou

The Book Thief – Markus Zusak

Christy:

The Book Thief – Markus Zusak

The House of the Spirits – Isabel Allende

The People of the Book – Geraldine Brooks

The Shadow of the Wind – Carlos Ruiz Zafon

We’d love to hear your feedback on our lists and please share yours. Maybe you could help us create our combined top five?

How fun would it be to have lists for every category? Romance, thrillers, the book that changed your life, the one that made you love reading, the ones you couldn’t put down and the painful ones that hurt like hell.

Drop us a line on our Facebook page and… happy reading,

Christy and Lee
