Tough Tilly Fundraiser Set To Rock The Murray

Tough Tilly Fundraiser

We’re Spreading The Good Stuff today for an upcoming charity fundraiser in our twin towns that promises to blow your socks off.

The hardworking volunteer crew behind the Tough Tilly charity are staging a Day On The Green at Moama’s Morrisons Winery on Saturday January 7 – and it’s an event with some mighty pull.

Iconic Australian musicians including Boom Crash Opera’s Dale Ryder, Taxiride’s Jason Singh and Choirboys’ Mark Gable will be performing a string of classics during an evening jam-packed with entertainment, great food and fine wine.

Featuring three decades of home-grown hits packed into one electric live show, Dale, Jason and Mark, will each take to the stage to perform their band’s biggest hit songs, before coming together for a memorable Oz music finale.

Set against the backdrop of one of the prettiest locations along the Murray River, Tough Tilly Day On The Green is set to be an event like no other.

It will be the fourth major fundraising effort by the charity – which started out as an annual walk from Moama to Echuca in 2013.

The events raise funds for research into the genetic skin disease Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) and are dedicated to Tilly Wilkes who was born with the rare condition in 2011.

EB is a disease that causes the skin to blister at the slightest friction, or even spontaneously, and has been likened to living with third degree burns.

It is very painful and sufferers like little Tilly must be bandaged every day with dressings to protect and medicate their wounds.

Tilly’s condition affects just 1000 Australians and 500,000 people world-wide.

All funds raised at the event will go to Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association (DEBRA) – a not-for-profit group that drives the development of treatments and cure for EB and ensures people living with the disease have access to the best quality support and medical care.

Tough Tilly Day On The Green will be held from 4-11pm on January 7 at Morrisons Winery.
