Today we are #spreadingthegoodstuff about a project that will lift Echuca Moama’s profile as a major tourism destination.
The proposed marketing and business development project aims to level the playing field for all businesses and ensure our town continues to grow and prosper.
Do you ever think about how lucky we are to live in Echuca Moama (EM)?
We are so blessed to have incredible facilities here: wonderful schools, a brand new hospital, top-class cafes and restaurants and innovative, forward-thinking business and industry. And it’s obvious we live in one of the most beautiful riverside locations in the country.
There’s no secret we both love living here and you only have to check out our little side project #loveEM for an array of examples of why we love EM and all she has to offer.
The images on this page are predominantly based around the beauty of our town and feature many of our wonderful festivals and events – both large and small.
Essentially our town survives and thrives thanks to what we offer here and those who come to enjoy it all. Visitors to EM inject valuable tourism-generated dollars into our economy and these dollars are then shared throughout the community to benefit all who live here.
Even if you don’t work in a tourism related business, those who do spend their money in our town and this cycle never ends.
This proposed project aims to introduce a shared charge (levy) among all businesses to contribute to the marketing and business development of EM so we can continue to compete with other regions.
Its ultimate goal is to lift our tourism profile to ensure we remain a vibrant retail, commercial and industrial regional hub.
We wholeheartedly support this program as we see the incredible value tourism has in our town. This town not only supports our small business and provides and ideal environment to bring up our children, but ensures our quality of life here on the mighty Murray is hard to beat.
You can also show your support for the project and help Echuca Moama Tourism and Committee for Echuca Moama (C4EM) convince the Shire of Campaspe to get it off the ground by signing the support form in today’s Riverine Herald. The aim is to collect 500 signatures by the end of April so there’s no time to waste.
We’ve signed… will you?
